While most fans enjoyed The Force Awakens to varying levels the question has lingered as to what was in the original treatment George Lucas offered Disney with his idea for the film. A lot of fans were disappointed that the Expanded Universe, now Legends, was completely ignored for new characters and a soft reboot style sequel for the franchise. Fans were certain and adamant that had Lucas remained in charge his version of Episode VII would have dipped from the EU pool and brought the stories of Jacen Solo and his twin sister Jaina, and their younger brother Anakin to life on film.

Thanks to Pablo Hidalgo, via his twitter we can now confirm one thing about George Lucas’ idea for Episode VII is that it DID NOT feature the familiar Solo children from the Expanded Universe.

What do you think George Lucas had planned for Episode VII? Would you be interested in reading his treatment if it were to ever surface?
